Former Brazilian striker Farid announced that he would leave Cruzeiro and return to his former club Fluminense, and surprised the fans on Monday by announcing that he would drive his bike 600 km to join his new team.

The 36-year-old striker signed a two-season contract and said yesterday that he would start supporting his team with charitable work, driving his bike from Belo Horizonte to Rio de Janeiro.

Farid, who became the third most prominent scorer in Fluminense's history in his first term between 2009 and 2016, is leaving Cruzeiro after his decline to the second division by the end of last season.
