The plans for the new bathhouse were presented by the blue-green majority in Stockholm City Hall during Tuesday.
- Stockholm is a city that has had many cold-bath houses in the past, so this is part of our cultural history, says Anna König Jerlmyr (M), Finance Citizens' Council, although the planned bath house should also contain a hot pool.
The idea is that a Finnish company, which already operates a port bath in Helsinki, will be responsible for the investment costs and operation of the bathhouse. The hope is that the bathhouse will be ready by 2022.
- This place has several advantages. The sun shines throughout the day, it is a very nice view and you can easily reach the place via the subway or by walking or cycling, says Raoul Grünstein, CEO of Nordic Urban.
