The Swedish government for discussions with neighboring countries about opening borders. The argument against such a decision has been that the spread of infection has been greater in Sweden.

But Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg believes that one must see how it differs between different regions of the country.

- It has been Stockholm and some counties around Stockholm that have been hit hardest. It is not the neighboring regions to Norway, for example, which have a lower infection rate than on the Norwegian side.

Skåne has also had a lower spread of infection than Copenhagen.

- That's what creates so much upset in Skåne. They see that the spread of infection has been smaller than in Copenhagen and yet the border is closed in one direction, says Mikael Damberg in the Morning Studio.
