- We see significantly less notice in May than in March and April. This may indicate that employers have made a complete announcement before the summer, says Annika Sundén, head of analysis at the Employment Service in a press release.

During the period 1 March to 31 May, a total of 2824 persons were notified of dismissal in Östergötland. The same figure for Gotland is 254 people.

At the same time, unemployment continues to rise according to the Employment Service.

- Unemployment continues to rise at a high rate and there are significantly fewer vacancies to apply for. Some of the jobs that are now disappearing will not come back.
