During a video interview with the Habr portal, Lysenko stated that the coronavirus allegedly "arrived in Moscow in mid-late January."

He later explained that it was about the deadline for the round-the-clock work of department employees who were engaged in the creation of technical solutions to combat a possible future epidemic.

“The coronavirus pandemic in China was already known at the end of December. Despite the fact that we have not yet registered a single case of diagnosed coronavirus in Russia, the city began to prepare for this threat in advance, ”RIA Novosti quotes his comment.

So, according to Lysenko, from mid-January in Moscow began "elaboration of various, including technical solutions" to combat the epidemic.

“And this is exactly what I had in mind when I said the corresponding phrase about January,” the head of the Moscow IT department said.

He stressed that the first official case of coronavirus infection was detected in the capital in early March.

Earlier, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova said that until March 2020 there was no coronavirus in Russia.
