According to the news from the Hunan Discipline Inspection Commission: Tan Benzhong, deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Hunan Province and secretary of the Shimen County Party Committee, is suspected of serious violation of discipline and law. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Hunan Discipline Inspection Commission.

  Tan Benzhong, male, Han nationality, born in August 1963, from Li County, Hunan, joined the work in November 1979 and joined the Communist Party of China in April 1983.

  From June 1993 to January 2000, he successively served as the director of the Research Department of the Organization Department of the Changde Municipal Party Committee and Chief of the Organization Section;

  From January 2000 to July 2009, he successively served as the Standing Committee of the Linli County Committee, Deputy Secretary of the County Committee, and County Mayor;

  From July 2009 to December 2011, he served as deputy secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Changde City, member of the party group of the municipal government, and director of the Municipal Supervision Bureau;

  From December 2011 to March 2015, he served as secretary of the Hanshou County Party Committee;

  From March 2015 to January 2017, he served as Secretary of Shimen County Party Committee;

  From January 2017 to present, he has served as deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Changde Municipal People's Congress and secretary of the Shimen County Party Committee.
