This was announced by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Svetlana Petrenko following a video meeting of the head of the department, Alexander Bastrykin, with the heads of departments of the central office and regional investigative bodies.

“The head of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic reported that, upon complaints from doctors about the non-payment of due funds in connection with work with coronavirus patients, insufficient provision of personal protective equipment and other issues, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code of Russia (negligence), ”the press release said.

The criminal case was transferred to the central office of the department.

Earlier, Bastrykin sent investigators to the Karachay-Cherkess Republic due to numerous requests by local residents on coronavirus issues, as well as allegations of violation of the rights of health workers who provide assistance to patients with COVID-19.
