This was announced on his Facebook page by Deputy Igor Vasiliev.

“We started collecting signatures for Avakov’s resignation,” he wrote, attaching to the post a snapshot of the draft resolution of the Rada.

In March, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine during the vote approved the new composition of the government, which was proposed by the new Prime Minister Denis Shmygal. Avakov in his new cabinet retained his post of head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
