He must be referred this Tuesday to the Toulouse prosecutor's office, for immediate appearance Wednesday. A 27-year-old man was arrested late Sunday morning after being subdued by passers-by while assaulting a woman.
The suspect had attacked a jogger at the Boulevard de la Marne, bordering the Canal du Midi. In order to get hold of the 29-year-old woman's cell phone, he had knocked it down and then kicked it, especially in the face, stomach and back. Witnesses then intervened to control the aggressor.
21 days of ITT
This first managed to escape them, by getting rid in his flight of the stolen laptop, before being caught. When alerted, a rescue police patrol arrested the man, already known to the justice system, and took him to the central police station, where he was placed in police custody. Twenty-one days of total incapacity for work (ITT) were prescribed for the victim, who had to be hospitalized.
