The Interior Minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has denied this Tuesday in the Senate all the evidence in an attempt to escape the responsibility required by law and which has been left in question after it has been confirmed that the colonel's dismissal of the Civil Guard Diego López de los Cobos was due to the fact that he did not agree to transfer the investigations that the Armed Institute was carrying out on the 8-M demonstration at the request of judge Carmen Rodríguez-Medel . The head of the Interior has ruled out presenting his resignation despite the demand from the PP, Ciudadanos and Vox that he immediately leave his post.

The truth, which Grande-Marlaska already denied last week in this same Chamber, has come to light after the official proposal for the removal of Pérez de los Cobos, signed by the director of the Civil Guard, María Gámez , has been revealed. , in which it is expressly stated that the dismissal occurs due to "loss of confidence" in the colonel "for failing to report the development of investigations and actions of the Civil Guard, in the operational framework and of the Judicial Police, for the purposes of knowledge" . The aforementioned document was advanced by El Confidencial and later obtained by EL MUNDO .

Despite everything, Fernando Grande-Marlaska has again denied having committed any interference and has repeated that his sole objective is "to configure new teams". According to the minister, the PP has "misinterpreted" the reason for the loss of confidence that the ministry has wielded.

For the Interior owner, "repeating falsehoods and dramatizing" does not lead "to the truth". According to his fourth explanation in just a week, the cessation came after the report on 8-M, uncomfortable for the Government, was leaked to the media.

"That is an alleged crime," he said, "of revealing secrets." "Our responsibility," he added, "is to monitor the work that is carried out to see if there is any dysfunction."

The minister has maintained this explanation despite the fact that the general interpretation of the facts is, in fact, that he has lied. This has been clearly stated by the PP and Citizens. Popular senator Fernando Martínez Maillo has described Marlaska's attitude as "indecent", stressed that his situation is "unsustainable" and has demanded his immediate resignation.

"You should not pass this plenary session," he snapped, openly demanding. A demand that has also been made by the senator of Citizens, Lorena Roldán , for whom the minister's attitude can only be described as "impudence". Both have reproached him for lying to the House and to the Spanish.
