The Dubai Health Authority has approved the newly created medical wing, to be an advanced medical center for infectious diseases, in light of the level of superior equipment on which the center was established, and based on the complementarity of its medical units (preventive, diagnostic and curative), as well as the quality of the high-quality services available.

The idea of ​​the center and preparation for its implementation came in two days, while the completion of the project took two months, which is a short time in relation to the size of the center, its capabilities and the level of its equipment.

The Dubai Health Authority has made sure that the (Infectious Diseases Center) complies with the sustainability standards of international medical facilities, in addition to its compliance with the safety and safety requirements and protocols in force in such specialized centers.

His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, said that the development and expansion strategy implemented by the authority at the level of its medical facilities and facilities, takes into account the elements of sustainability, whether at the level of infrastructure or technology, or the hospital environment. 

He noted that in light of the Authority’s keenness to sustain its services, and through the initiative (Dubai Future Accelerators), it held negotiations with approximately 40 international companies and pioneers in technologies and health services, and that it focused in its negotiations on technologies and smart solutions related to infectious diseases and epidemics In general, in support of its medical facilities.

His Excellency explained that the current conditions that the world is going through due to (Covid-19) have strengthened the orientations of the Dubai Health Authority and its executive programs aimed at raising the operational efficiency of hospitals, health centers and clinics, and achieving optimal employment for the overall capabilities and capabilities of the authority, and then raising the level and quality of the medical care system , Along with an increased focus on combating infectious and epidemic diseases.

For his part, Engineer Ali Al-Mansoori, Director of Engineering and Medical Equipment Department, said that the new center extends over an area of ​​1500 square meters in the area near Rashid Hospital, and it includes 25 rooms equipped with the latest smart technologies, which are varied in use between intensive care, treatment, diagnosis, and medical examination.

He explained that the design of the center took into account any possible expansion in its future infrastructure
