Dibba Al-Fujairah Municipality closed 26 facilities, including women's and men's salons and shops, in addition to pharmacies, to register violations thereof last month. The violations included raising the prices of some commodities, non-commitment to provide health cards for workers, non-compliance with precautionary and preventive measures that protect society from the risks of transmission of the new Corona virus, and the lack of commitment of workers to wear masks and gloves and not to adhere to the measures of social separation.

The Director General of Dibba Al-Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Hassan Salem Al Yamahi, stressed the municipality’s keenness to continue its efforts in strengthening its precautionary and preventive measures to confront the “Corona” pandemic through many inspection and oversight tours, and commitment to the means that are necessary precautionary measures to preserve the health and safety of everyone.

He explained that the municipal administrations carried out during the past month 770 inspection visits to the shops and salons in the city of Dibba and its regions, including 417 shops, 220 women salons and 133 men salons.

He pointed out that the sudden inspection visits to salons and food establishments resulted in the closure of 26 facilities, the confiscation of 27 kilograms of finished and non-consumable foodstuffs, 12 kilograms of finished cosmetic materials, in addition to the confiscation of 21 kilograms of prohibited materials (milk, wristbands) and the liberation of 77 violations.

Al-Yamahi stressed that the municipality will not compromise with any establishment that is not bound by the laws and health requirements, and will take the necessary measures against it, asking everyone to follow the general health guidelines to avoid any violations issued against non-compliant, stressing the municipality’s keenness to provide the best products and goods in the various markets of the city, along with Maintaining the health and safety of the consumer, which is a priority for the municipality.

He pointed out that the municipality has intensified its efforts in the national sterilization program and sprayed insecticides continuously, to maintain a clean and pest free environment, and to achieve leadership directions in the safety of society.
