“In the framework of preclinical studies, specialists of the 48th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia successfully completed studies on two species of animals: on monkeys and hamsters,” he said.
According to him, during the studies, the safety of the drug and its protective effectiveness were proved.
According to the expert, it is planned that by the end of July all the necessary clinical trials will be completed.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense stated that the department selected volunteers for conducting clinical trials of the domestic vaccine from COVID-19.
As noted in the government, mass vaccination of people in the country may begin in the fall.
