Deprived of cutlery, the tables had been gathering dust for more than ten weeks marked by the coronavirus crisis. On Tuesday, customers of restaurants, bars and cafes were able to rediscover the pleasure of having a drink or enjoying a dish. Inevitably on the terrace in Île-de-France, also indoors in the rest of the country. With, in both cases, some additional rules of precaution and distancing and a context of economic emergency for many professionals. As Europe 1 found in a restaurant in the Oise, enthusiasm was also present.

Direction the restaurant "La Grange aux loups", in Apremont. For lunch service, the restaurant could seat 30 people. And it's very simple: there were 30 customers. Unexpected, for chef Dorian Wicart: "I'm very happy, because we started this morning with four reservations, so we were afraid that the clientele would not come back. Finally, the whole week is full. It is motivating to the next few days. It couldn't be better! "

"We didn't feel any constraints"

Three risottos and two cans for the 12, a pana cotta and a coffee for the 23… Orders were released during the service, complete like all the other noons and evenings of the week. "It's good to resume after two and a half months of rest," says Stéphane, a salaried employee.

There are on the one hand the restaurateurs and on the other the customers. Éliane and Didier pay their addition of 68 euros and, like everyone else in the restaurant, they wanted to participate in this grand reopening which, incidentally, looked a lot like the pre-closing. "We knew the restaurant so we were delighted to see it reopen today," says Éliane. "We are not disappointed because it is still very good and we did not feel any constraints apart from putting on the mask to return. Other than that, we found that it was like before." "There is space in this restaurant, the tables are not on top of each other, so there are no worries," says Didier.

Suppliers who respond, from the sun, from customers at least until next week ... For the restaurant owner, the planets line up and allow him to regain some serenity after an interminable period of inactivity.
