The Jerusalem International Foundation warned of leaks revealed by an Israeli newspaper about secret Israeli-Saudi-American negotiations, to give Saudi Arabia a role in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque within the arrangements of what is known as the "deal of the century".

In a statement, the foundation denounced what it called poisoning leaks revealed by the newspaper "Israel Today", which is close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a report prepared by Israeli journalist Daniel Sirioti.

The report spoke about Israeli proposals related to granting Saudi Arabia roles in the administration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in an attempt to push the Jordanian state to more concessions in the file of the administration of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The newspaper said that Jordan initially refused and then softened its position after the 2019 Bab Al-Rahma donation, to accept a Saudi presence, driven by what it described as its desire to confront the increasing Turkish influence in Jerusalem, which the newspaper promoted as threatening the Jordanian presence.

The report also stated that Jordan agreed to a Saudi role because of its need for funding and support in the face of the Turkish role.

It is noteworthy that this newspaper - speaking on behalf of the Zionist right - is distributed free of charge with great funding from the American millionaire Sheldon Adelson, the godfather of the decision to move the American embassy to occupied Jerusalem.

These leaks came a day after Fatah al-Aqsa, which had been closed for seventy days due to the pandemic of the Corona virus, and under an agreement between the Jordanian and Israeli externalities, and in light of a storm of statements about the Israeli quest to create a new reality in the city.

Jordanian position
Commenting on these leaks, a senior Jordanian source assured the island that there is no change in the composition of the Jerusalem Endowments Council, which is formed by a decision of the Jordanian Cabinet with a recommendation from the Ministry of Endowments.

The source - who spoke on condition of anonymity - stressed that there is no talk of making changes to the structure of the council, which is formed for a period of two years that ends early next year.

He added that the current Endowments Council will complete its full term, pointing out that the Jerusalem Endowments Administration and the Affairs of the Blessed Al Aqsa Mosque affiliated to the Jordanian Ministry of Endowments is the authority that has exclusive authority to manage Al Aqsa Mosque affairs.
