This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of one of the authors of the initiative of the head of the lower house committee on labor and social policy Yaroslav Nilov.

It is noted that the corresponding draft law provides for measures of support "to persons engaged in housekeeping of their family."

The draft law contains a number of conditions that must be met in order to receive money. For example, only one of the family members can receive the benefit, and only if the average per capita income in the family is not higher than twice the subsistence level in the region.

It is expected that the law will enter into force on January 1, 2021, if it passes all the stages of voting in the Russian parliament and is approved by the president.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the proposal to increase the minimum unemployment benefit from 1.5 thousand to 4.5 thousand rubles.
