A spectacular road accident took place on Sunday around 8 p.m. in Woippy, just near Metz. A driver lost control of his vehicle at the entrance to a roundabout. His car, a clio, would then be mounted on the central island, would have hit the fountain located above, before undergoing several barrels and passing just above a circulating scooter, reports Le Républicain Lorrain.
The pilot, a 36-year-old Messin, was reportedly ejected from the passenger compartment during the accident. He suffers from a head trauma. Its passenger, aged about sixty, had to be extricated by the firefighters before being placed in intensive care at the Mercy hospital. The driver tested positive for a breathalyzer, according to the regional daily.
