Six people were traveling in the accident car that drove off the road outside Sörfors, west of Sundsvall the night into Sunday. Four 16-year-old boys died instantly. The two surviving were two girls.

The elderly are cared for at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå, her condition is described as critical. The younger, 14 years old, is being cared for at the Akademiska hospital in Uppsala with very severe injuries, according to the hospital. Her condition is still stated to be stable.

Found later

Two of the dead boys are residents of Stöde. The other four all come from different locations in Hälsingland.

In a first phase, police stated that five people were involved in an accident. The sixth was found later in the day after the police returned to the scene of the accident for continued search.

Both in Stöde and in several localities in Hälsingland, schools and churches are kept open to support and comfort relatives and peers.
