"It's extremely dry right now and the trend looks like it will be drier and drier for each passing day," says Johan Nordin, internal commander at the Dala Mitt Rescue Service.

SMHI warns of the risk of grass and forest fires throughout Dalarna, except in the mountains and in most municipalities in the county, there is a prohibition of fire of the normal degree.

The County Administrative Board's guidelines for prohibition of fire means, among other things, that you should not cook, grill or cook on an open fire in the outdoors. For example, to grill on your own barbecue in the garden is allowed. The directives may vary between municipalities, which can be found on the municipality's or local rescue services' website.

In the clip above, Johan Nordin tells more about what causes the fires and about the Dalfolk's willingness to obey the ban on burning.
