Not all effervescent tablets can be taken orally

The pharmacist reminds that "effervescent tablets" are used in a variety of forms, some are soaked in water, some are sterilized in water, and some are used directly, so you must pay attention to the instructions when storing and using.

  Oral effervescent tablets should not be swallowed or taken

  Oral effervescent tablets are divided into medicinal and health-type effervescent tablets. The medicinal type can be used for antipyretic, expectorant, anti-cold and other diseases, such as acetaminophen effervescent tablets, carbosteine ​​effervescent tablets and chaiyin effervescent tablets. The health-care type is mainly used to supplement vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin C effervescent tablets, vitamin B effervescent tablets and calcium and magnesium effervescent tablets.

  The methods and precautions for medicinal effervescent tablets and health-care effervescent tablets are basically the same.

  Instructions:

  It is recommended to use 100-150 ml of cold or warm water to soak. After the effervescent tablet is completely dissolved or the bubbles disappear, gently shake it before drinking.

  Precautions:

  It is strictly forbidden to directly swallow or contain, especially the elderly and children, there is a risk of suffocation, please strengthen monitoring; do not dissolve with tea, juice and other beverages, because it may affect drug absorption or produce harmful substances; some effervescent tablets A few impurities may appear when soaking, which does not affect the use. However, due to improper storage, there are precipitates, insolubles, flocs, etc. when soaking. It is not recommended to take it; drink it now, because the active ingredients are prone to oxidation and decomposition for a long time, it is invalid; it is recommended to use 30 ℃ -40 ℃ warm water. Not only can it be consumed immediately, but also cause the loss of active ingredients; effervescent tablets contain more sodium, and diseases that require sodium salt intake, such as hypertension, coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, should be used sparingly. Take tablets or reduce salt intake.

  Do n’t take these effervescent tablets

  External effervescent tablets cannot be taken orally, they are generally medicinal, disinfectant and cleansing.

  Medicinal effervescent tablets are mostly used to treat various types of inflammation, especially gynecological inflammations, such as clotrimazole vaginal effervescent tablets, terbinafine hydrochloride vaginal effervescent tablets, and Chinese medicine external effervescent tablets.

  It is particularly reminded that the vaginal effervescent tablet does not need to be dissolved in water. When using it, the patient should wash his hands and vulva, take a supine posture, and insert the medicine into the deep part of the vagina with the finger wearing the finger sleeve.

  Chinese herbal medicine effervescent tablets need to be dissolved in water before use. The external washing of traditional Chinese medicine allows the medicine to directly act on the skin and mucous membranes, through local absorption, so as to achieve the purpose of treatment and reduce the pain of patients taking medicine.

  Instructions:

  Take the externally-washed effervescent tablet into the bath utensils, use 40 ℃ -45 ℃ hot water to dissolve, soak the bath area for 20-30 minutes, and use the hand massage to rub the effect better.

  Precautions:

  It must be used with caution in cases of skin ulceration or bleeding; it is strictly forbidden to take it orally and placed in a place that is not easily reachable by children; the bathing time should not be too long.

  Do not mix disinfection tablets with other disinfectants

  In the process of preventing and controlling the outbreak of New Coronavirus, many people choose to use disinfectant effervescent tablets for disinfection. The disinfectant effervescent tablets currently on the market are mainly sodium dichloroisocyanurate, trichloroisocyanuric acid and chlorine dioxide.

  Instructions:

  When sodium dichloroisocyanurate and trichloroisocyanuric acid are used for disinfecting the surface of objects, the concentration is 500ml / L; when disinfecting in the epidemic area, the concentration of the surface is 1000ml / L; chlorine dioxide is used for disinfecting the surface of objects At the time, use a concentration of 50mg / L to 100mg / L; act for 10 minutes to 15 minutes. When disinfecting indoor air, water and other objects and environments, the above three disinfection tablets should be based on the product manual.

  Precautions:

  Avoid skin contact. If it accidentally splashes into the eyes or inhales into the respiratory tract, it should be washed immediately with water. In severe cases, it should be treated with a doctor; it has a corrosive effect on metals, bleaching and fading effects on fabrics;

  Finally, a brief introduction to cleaning type effervescent tablets, such effervescent tablets belong to cleaning and hygiene products, such as car glass water effervescent tablets, toilet tank cleaning effervescent tablets and washing machine tank cleaning effervescent tablets. The appearance of the clean type effervescent tablet is easy to identify, and it is not easy to be mistaken, but it must still be placed in a place that is not easily reachable by children.
