Two doctors who carried out an independent autopsy on George Floyd, the African American who died after being detained by police last week and whose death has sparked protests around the world, today announced that the death house was "mechanical suffocation "and that it was a homicide.

Dr. Michael Baden, one of the doctors who performed the autopsy commissioned by Floyd's family, said during a press conference in Minneapolis that Floyd had no underlying medical conditions that contributed to his death. Baden said Floyd's death was caused by pressure from both the pressure on the policeman's neck and the knees of two officers on his back.
