The lifeless body of a woman was found Saturday evening in Maché, near Aizenay, in Vendée. The corpse was discovered by fishermen in the coastal river La Vie, which forms a reservoir there, also called Apremont lake.

It was hidden by vegetation and branches, reports the daily Ouest-France . The firefighters intervened to remove the body from the water, and note the death.

The national gendarmerie opened an investigation. An autopsy will be necessary to identify the victim and determine the causes of his death.
