China News Agency, Nur-Sultan, June 1st, Yerevan news: Armenian Prime Minister Pasinyan announced on social media on June 1 that he and his family have been infected with the new crown virus.

Pasinyan said he was diagnosed when he was routinely tested for new coronavirus, and his family was also confirmed to be infected with new coronavirus in subsequent tests. He stated that he currently has no symptoms and is isolating himself and continuing to work remotely.

Pasinyan called on citizens to prepare for the long-term coexistence with the virus, strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations, wear masks and maintain good hygiene in daily life.

According to the Armenian News Agency, Pasinyan may have been infected while dining out recently. A waiter who had gone to the dining restaurant was earlier confirmed to be infected with the new crown virus.

According to the data released by the Armenian National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as of early June 1, local time, the country had newly added 210 confirmed cases the day before, with a total of 9402 confirmed diagnoses, 3402 cured cases and 139 deaths. Asian local media reported that the cure rate and mortality rate of patients with new coronary pneumonia in the country are still "fluctuating", which means that the epidemic has not yet completely stabilized.

The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Armenia stated at the end of May that, in view of the current epidemic situation, the school plans to officially start school on September 1. Armenia has announced the extension of the national emergency until June 13, but most of the epidemic control measures have been cancelled to restore the economy.

According to a statement from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the "Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visas for Persons Holding Ordinary Passports" between the two governments temporarily suspended by the epidemic has resumed effective since June 1. According to the agreement, Chinese citizens holding valid Chinese ordinary passports and Armenian citizens holding valid Armenian ordinary passports shall not be required to apply for visas if they accumulate, exit or transit through each other within 180 days from the date of entry.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Asia also stated that Armenian citizens should fill in the corresponding information as required by the Chinese when entering China, and accept the 14-day isolation observation at designated locations at their own expense as required. (Finish)
