“A seismic event of magnitude 5.0 occurred on Tuesday morning local time,” the spokesman said.

It is noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of almost 30 km 140 km south of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk in the Ust-Kamchatka region of the Kamchatka Territory.

On May 17, it was reported that an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 was recorded in the Ust-Bolsheretsky district of the Kamchatka Territory.
