Brazil faces a major challenge with the increase in new infections of the Corona virus (Covid-19), and football clubs have not been immune to this pandemic.

Vasco da Gama announced that the results of 16 players' tests of the Coruna virus were positive on Sunday, one day before the scheduled date for the resumption of training in Rio de Janeiro after a two-month hiatus due to the pandemic.

The club said that 16 players - out of 43 members of the team who have taken the test - will enter the isolation phase, and indicated that three players have tested positive for their recovery from the disease.

And the players in Rio de Janeiro got the green light to go through physical tests and perform individual exercises starting today, Monday, but without contact and friction with colleagues, and the remaining states have not decided yet when clubs can return to practice traditionally.

As of Sunday, more than half a million people were infected with Corona virus in Brazil, compared to more than 29,000 deaths.
