[Commentary] The White Minnesota policeman in the United States is suspected of violent law enforcement killing the black man George Floyd ’s protests and demonstrations continue to escalate. At present, more than 30 cities in the United States have demonstrated protests.

[Commentary] According to US media reports, on May 29 local time, the Mayor of Minneapolis announced that the city would impose a curfew from 20 pm on the 29th. At the same time, the Minnesota Criminal Law Enforcement Department issued a statement that the police involved in the death of the African-American man were prosecuted and charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. However, the authorities thought that the police involved in the case would be able to quell public anger after being charged with crimes. However, after the night curfew took effect on the 29th, about 500 people still gathered near the police station and clashed with the riot police.

[Commentary] In addition, not only the city of Minneapolis, protest demonstrations have now spread to more than 30 cities across the United States, including New York, Denver, Houston, Atlanta and Detroit. Among them, a shooting occurred at the Detroit demonstration site. A man drove through and shot at the crowd, causing a 19-year-old demonstrator to be shot and killed.

[Explanation] In the capital, Washington, hundreds of people gathered outside the White House on the 29th and 30th local time to demonstrate, shouting "There is no justice, there is no peace", "Black people's lives are also lives" and other slogans. The demonstrators clashed with Secret Service personnel, forcing the White House to blockade once.

[Commentary] On the 30th local time, the protests in Los Angeles, California entered the fourth day. Thousands of protesters gathered in the Pan Pacific Park in southern Los Angeles. At first, the protesters gathered in the park to shout slogans, and then began to the nearby business district. Moving forward, and occupying most of the streets, causing traffic paralysis, some protesters began to damage commercial facilities along the way. When police officers from the Los Angeles Police Department rushed to the scene to try to maintain order and prevent the protesters from moving forward, the protesters and the police officers at the scene clashed violently, and a number of police cars were burned.

[Commentary] Subsequently, Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, Jasiti, expressed dissatisfaction and strong condemnation of the peaceful demonstrations that turned into violent conflict and destruction at the press conference, and announced that the city of Los Angeles began a curfew that night.

[Commentary] US President Trump earlier called the demonstrators "thugs" on social media, and also warned that if a robbery occurs, the police will shoot. However, he has now changed his mouth, saying that he can understand why the incident triggered national protests, but expressed support for peaceful demonstrations and not allowing violent demonstrations to fall into lawless chaos.
