Protests and clashes continued for the fourth consecutive day across the United States, against the backdrop of the killing of George Floyd, an African American citizen, by policemen in Minneapolis, which killed five people and wounded others.

Several American cities witnessed a curfew, including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Atlanta, in an attempt to stop the violent protests that broke out across the country, while army units were put on alert.

The demonstrations circulated about 30 American cities in defiance of the curfew measures announced in several states.

American media said that four people were killed and another wounded in a shooting during the protest demonstrations that took place in the city of Minneapolis, despite the decision to ban night roaming.

Externally, the German capital Berlin witnessed a demonstration condemning the killing of George Floyd at the hands of the police in Minnesota.

The British capital, London, witnessed a similar demonstration, during which the demonstrators demanded an end to the police attacks on black people in the United States.

They also declared their support for the demands of the protesters in the demonstrations taking place in several American cities. The demonstration came despite the measures taken by the British government to combat the outbreak of the Corona virus.

It is noteworthy that George Floyd was killed in the American city of Minneapolis, after a policeman threw him on the floor and held him for several minutes while he pressed his knee on his neck, after which he shouted "I cannot breathe" several times, before he breathed his last.

As of this morning, the violence that followed his death has resulted in the declaration of a state of emergency in 25 cities in 16 US states, and the arrest of nearly 1,400 people in 17 cities.
