The Ministry of Education has implemented a number of preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus emerging (Covid-19), as part of its plan to strengthen preventive measures, as it has intensified sterilization and disinfection, and installed thermal cameras.

The Ministry will resume providing its services in some customer happiness centers, in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, the Ministry’s office in Dubai, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, from eight in the morning until two in the afternoon, after taking the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the customers.

The Ministry was keen on defining a plan to clean, sterilize and disinfect its facilities in line with the procedures followed regarding the gradual return to work in government agencies, which included putting thermal cameras to verify the temperature of the building's users before entering it, and putting sterilization gates on the entrances, and sterilizing the facilities continuously using spray guns during Breaks, in order to provide a healthy environment for employees.

She has also worked on preparing a guide to preventing corona virus, including staff safeguards.

The Ministry’s Undersecretary, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Hammadi, stressed that a safe and healthy environment is a priority in the ministry’s approach, in this exceptional sanitary condition, to reduce the risks and effects of the “Covid 19” virus. This necessitated intensifying precautionary measures to achieve the highest safety standards.

He pointed out that the return of life and the rotation of the wheel of work is an important matter, and it must be accompanied by the achievement of new controls in work that we were not previously used to, but which are extremely important, and adherence to them is an urgent necessity.

The Ministry's assistant undersecretary for the support services sector, Matar Al-Hamli, said that the ministry implemented an intensive health program for its facilities, confirming that sterilization and disinfection operations continue daily, in a manner that guarantees a safe and stimulating work environment.

He explained that the intensive health and preventive program, which included taking a set of preventive measures for the facilities affiliated with the Ministry, is to put gates for sterilization at the entrance of each examination center, and to install thermal cameras to verify the temperatures of the building's users before entering, and to sterilize the facilities continuously using spray sprayers periodically during periods of Resting, sterilizing and cleaning door handles, telephones, keyboards and safes, disinfecting frequently used surfaces, setting protection layers to limit the transmission of viruses and microbes from one person to another, and cleaning tables and chairs after use with disinfection materials, by steam sterilization.
