Through its Minister for Sports, the British government has authorized the resumption of closed door sports competitions from 1 June. The long-awaited return of the Premier League should be able to take place.

The British government authorized Saturday the return to closed door of sports competitions from June 1, after more than two months of stoppage due to the Covid-19 pandemic, announced the minister in charge of Sports Oliver Dowden. "The wait is over. British sport will return soon under safe and tightly controlled conditions," the minister said in a press conference, paving the way for a resumption of the Premier League football.
