In the United States, the White House was briefly closed due to large-scale protests, CNN news channel reported.
All over the country, a demonstration has taken place after police-arrested black, unarmed George Floyd died Monday after police crackdowns in Minneapolis. Demonstration has also been demonstrated in the U.S. capital, Washington.
According to CNN, the doors to the White House press area were locked, and a secret service guarded that no one could enter the White House area.
After the protests moved away from the vicinity of the White House, the entrances were opened, media reports.
The White House houses the office of the President of the country and the official residence.
In addition to Washington, protests were seen on Friday at least in New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Denver and Houston.
