- Everything may not be exactly as it was before, says Aina Hagberg from Fridays for future in Kalmar.

It was Greta Thunberg who started the Fridays for future movement with her school strike to pay attention to climate issues. Saturday's initiative, where school strikes have become shoe-striking, is being merged with the organizations Saturdays for future and Climate Action.

When circumstances make it impossible to gather in larger crowds, the shoes should make visible to all those who want the restart after the corona crisis to become climate smart.

Hundreds of shoes

In Kalmar, hundreds of shoes stood in a row through town.

- In the stimulus packages that will be needed to start up society after the corona crisis, climate requirements must be set for the companies, says Aina Hagberg.

Aina Hagberg also thinks that municipalities and regions must take this opportunity and adjust for more climate smart. For example, Kalmar can learn from Italian cities.

- They are investing heavily in converting large parts of the road network into cycling and walking routes. It would be perfect for Kalmar where we have an enormous print of passenger cars driving through the city, ”she says.
