Muhidin issued a statement saying that Mahathir and others were automatically disqualified from party membership

China News Service, Kuala Lumpur, May 30. Two days after the Aboriginal Unity Party revoked Mahathir's membership, another central figure in the dispute, Malaysian Prime Minister Muhidin, who is in segregation at home, finally "voiced."

In a statement released that day, he said that Mahathir and others were not expelled from the party, but because of violations of the Party Constitution that led to the automatic loss of party membership.

Muhidin also called on the members of the Tutu Party to remain "calm and patient" in the statement, saying that since Mahathir and others chose to cooperate with the Hope Alliance, "wish them success."

The Tutu Party is a political party created by Mahathir after leaving the Malay National Unity Organization (UMNO) in 2016 with Muhidin and others. On May 28, the Tutu Party announced the withdrawal of Mahathir and the membership of the four MPs who supported him. However, Mahathir and others insisted that this decision was “illegal”, refused to recognize that the party had been revoked, and announced the removal of the party ’s executive secretary as a supporter of Muhidin.

In the past two days, the members of the Tutu Party and the regional party headquarters have also begun to "stand in line" to express their "supporting horses" or "supporting Mu" positions. (Finish)
