In Minneapolis, the protests continue for the fourth night. On Friday, Mayor Jacob Frey announced a strict curfew that no longer may be on the streets after 8 p.m. The curfew lasts until morning.
However, hundreds of protesters have returned to the city streets. So far, the police have been following the events on the sidelines, says IS correspondent Mikko Marttinen from Minneapolis.
Police officer Derek Chauvin, suspected of causing the death of 46-year-old George Floyd, was arrested on Friday and charged with murder. Three other police officers present have been fired.
Floy died Monday. During the arrest, Chauvin pressed 46-year-old Floyd to his knee from the neck for more than five minutes, and this was later pronounced dead.
In recent days, protesters have, among other things, damaged hundreds of shops and set the police station on fire.
