FK Chapman usually organizes competition around Easter. But because of the corona, it was this year moved to the last weekend in May.

One of the participants was the internationally credited fencer Emma Fransson, who represents Kalmar FK.

- It's a little different when you haven't competed for a while. It's outdoors and it's a bit of a different thing. But it feels great, says Emma Fransson.

Not sure about the future

At the beginning of the year she represented Sweden's junior national team and competed in the U20 European Championships in Croatia. But because of the corona, it is uncertain how it will be with international championships in the future.

- I would have gone to the World Cup in Salt Lake City. But it has been advanced and maybe set, she says.

Engla Sennerlin Holm, who represents FK Chapman, also competed for Sweden in Croatia in the U17 European Championship. On Saturday, it was time for the first race in a long time.

- I've had the competition abstinence. This is a home competition and it's fun, says Engla Sennerlin Holm.

Special conditions

From the organizer FK Chapman, Peter Lindholm says that special conditions were required to be able to complete the competition. Among other things, participants should have no longer a journey than two hours.

- We have moved outdoors and it is not typically a fencing competition because we tend to be in a hall. We have also limited the number of participants, he says.
