EU countries and Britain discuss US sanctions against Iranian projects

"We deeply regret the United States decision to end the three exceptions for key nuclear projects under the JCPOA, including the Arak reactor modernization project," the joint statement said.

The parties noted that these projects were approved by UN Security Council resolution 2231 and serve the common non-proliferation interests.

“We are conducting consultations with partners to assess the consequences of this decision,” the Foreign Office quoted the statement as saying.

In February, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Russia intends to prevent US attempts to return sanctions against Iran at the UN Security Council level.
