Coach Kiki Sittin warned of damage to his team Barcelona by increasing the number of permissible substitutions in the match from three to five, with the resumption of La Liga football matches next month.

The International Football Association (FIFA) and the IFAP Board of Laws for the game have permitted the competitions that resume their activity after the break due to the new Corona virus, to allow the teams to increase the number of substitutions during the match, in an effort to avoid injury to the players physically after they stopped playing for a long time.

The Spanish LaLiga competitions will return on June 11, after being suspended since mid-March due to the "Covid-19" epidemic.

"The five relays will harm us, because we are making a big difference in the last few minutes. Now, our opponents' squad will have a greater number of players who are physically comfortable," Sittin said in a video call Friday night with coaches under training.

The La Liga competitions will start with the Sevilla and Real Betis matches on Wednesday, June 11th, and the 28th stage matches (out of 38) will take place this weekend.

The League hopes to end the season on July 19, which will intensify match pressure on the 20 teams. According to reports, games will be played on a daily basis between the date of the resumption until the end of the 2019-2020 season, with each team playing a match rate every three or four days.

"This pressure will increase the players' fears of injuries," Sittin said. "This is a large number of matches in a short period of time. The (high) heat will affect performance and injuries. We hope it will cause less damage than we fear."

"It is possible to score many injuries, as it does in Germany, because we spent about two months sitting on the sofa without playing. The heat, and playing games every three or four days can affect the players."

England and Italy are also planning to relaunch the domestic league season, with two initial dates, 17 and 20 June, respectively.

Seetin considered that football in the time of "Covid-19 ″", with the required matches without fans, and the restrictions imposed on the way players celebrate or sit in the bench, "a bit strange."

Barcelona, the holder of the title in the past two seasons, leads the Spanish league after 27 stages, just two points behind its rivals Real Madrid.
