A man in his 20s in China was seriously injured by dropping a 190kg barbell while doing a bench press.

On the 27th of the local time, foreigners such as British Daily Star introduced the story of 25-year-old Tianzhen from Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Chun, who usually enjoys exercising, used to train his muscles with various equipment in the gym. However, I recently made a big mistake doing a bench press.

The bench press is an exercise in which the weight is lifted up and down on the chest with both arms supported by lying on a narrow bench. Chun challenged 190kg with confidence while filming with friends on this day.

However, even before reaching out and lifted all the weights, Mr. Chun's hand slipped and the 190 kg barbell fell on Mr. Chun's right chest. Chun fell to the floor complaining of pain and was immediately taken to the hospital.
Eventually, Mr. Chun had to undergo surgery for 2 hours due to a fracture of the right breastbone and upper arm bone and a rupture of the pectoralis major muscle. "My muscle injuries are common, but it's very rare for a tendon to break straight out of my bone, like Mr. Chun," said the doctor in charge.

He also explained, "Suddenly, a great amount of force was applied, so the pectoralis major muscle was almost stuck to the upper arm bone." Currently, eight nails and a wire are embedded in Chun's chest to return the crushed muscles to their original state.

Mr. Chun, on the other hand, described his mistake as 'a monkey fell from a tree'. "My original limit was not 190kg. I did it without a problem," he said.
