“Following the meeting, Yuri Trutnev instructed the Russian Ministry of Health to send medical personnel to the Kamchatka Territory to provide medical care to people with coronavirus infection,” the embassy’s press service quotes TASS.

It is noted that the Kamchatka authorities previously turned to the Deputy Prime Minister with a request to help with the involvement of an additional number of health workers in the region to combat coronavirus.

Earlier, the acting governor of Kamchatka, Vladimir Solodov, suspended the head physician of the ambulance station in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky because of the outbreak of a new coronavirus infection.
