It is Öre, Ungde and Moälven that make a joint appeal that the fishing pressure in the most popular places should not be too high. When fishing in Norway fails this summer, the fishery areas are seeing an increased interest from fishermen around the country.

- There have been an incredible amount of people. The fishing pressure that was in the Girde River during the big weekend last week means that we now feel we need to go out with this, says Bo Sundqvist, chairman of the Öreälven fish conservation area.

Fishing may be closed if the pressure becomes too high

The hope now is that the long-distance fishermen will now act wisely and respect the Public Health Authority's call for no longer than 1-2 hours from their home.

- If people respect that, then we can also manage the fishing pressure, says Sundqvist.

If there are too many long-distance guests, it may be necessary to close the fishing periodically. Although it is gratifying that so many have caught the eye for fishing, the representatives of the three rivers mean that we must all help to reduce the spread of infection and welcome long-distance guests back for another season.
