At 14 in Falköping a man was shot at the age of 25, a few hours later, at 23, a 30-year-old man was shot in Essunga.

- Two shootings one day is nothing I have been to before, says Fredrik Malm, tf. Police Area Manager Skaraborg.

In addition to these two incidents, a 20-year-old man was arrested during a Thursday afternoon in Stenungsund, suspected of attempted murder, after firing a gun shot at a police officer.

Investigated as two separate cases

The injury situation for the shooting man in Falköping is still unclear, the man in Essunga was taken to hospital with a wound injury. Preliminary investigations into attempted murder are also established in these cases.

- The events are being investigated as two separate cases, we do not see any links between the cases today, says Fredrik Malm, the Skaraborg police.

Having previously been spared from this type of serious crime, it has now, according to Fredrik Malm, been shot on four occasions in Skaraborg for the last 1 1/2 years.

- What we can see is that these events involve conflicts between criminal individuals, type of drug dealings, we see no links to criminal networks.
