It was in the night until Wednesday that police were called to the emergency room at Sundsvall Hospital after staff suspected that a child had been subjected to abuse. Two people were arrested by police.
Prosecutor Stina Sjökvist now tells P4 Västernorrland that both are the child's parents and that they were arrested for reasonable suspicion of the crime. The child is less than a year old and is now being cared for in hospital for his injuries.
According to st.nu, the crime is classified as gross negligence for bodily injury.
