The end of the 100-kilometer limitation allows French people to consider their summer holidays. However, an auditor questions Europe 1 Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of tourism, on a future stay in Guadeloupe.

INTERVIEW

The second phase of the deconfinement announced Thursday by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe allows us to see more clearly about the holidays of the French. The limit of 100 kilometers has disappeared and travel is now possible throughout the country. But in Overseas Territories, fourteen must still be met for metropolitan passengers, due to the new coronavirus. An auditor questions Europe 1 Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, Secretary of State to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of tourism, about his future holidays in Guadeloupe.

The question of Christelle, of the Yvelines

"We had organized holidays in Guadeloupe, from July 5, three weeks with the children. It is a beautiful trip for us, these are holidays planned more than six months ago. We would have liked to postpone our trip to holidays next year in July to be able to take full advantage, since there we called Air Caribbean who explained to us that we must respect a fortnight in a hotel. How to do it? "

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne's answer

"For the moment, all this is very evolving, the overseas territories are insular so in these territories it is important to control the circulation of the virus so that the sanitary facilities are not overwhelmed, that there is no clusters and that's why there's this extra fortnight precaution.

My colleague Annick Girardin, Minister for the Overseas Territories, is working to make this fourteen days more flexible. We are also working on tests that could be done just before departure and a few days after arrival, so I think that by your departure things will evolve.
