In late January, the Ministry of Justice published a new edition of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which proposed increasing the fine for speeding.

So, with the proposed version of the Code of Administrative Offenses, the fine for exceeding speed by 20–40 km / h increased from 500 rubles to 3 thousand rubles, and for exceeding by 40–60 km / h a fine of 4 thousand rubles was expected, more than 60 km / h - in the amount of 5 thousand rubles or deprivation of rights.

"The current size of sentences and the statute of limitations for bringing to administrative responsibility in the draft new Code of Administrative Offenses will not be increased," the report said.

They noted that the bill adopted a decision to maintain the size of fines to the extent of "generally not exceeding the current Code of Administrative Offenses."

The document is posted on the portal of draft regulatory acts.

It says that for a speeding excess of 20-40 km / h a fine of 500 rubles is supposed, for 40-60 km / h - from 1 thousand to 1.5 thousand rubles, for exceeding more than 60 km / h - a fine from 2 thousand to 5 thousand rubles or deprivation of rights for a period of four to six months.

In late February, the Ministry of Justice stated that the sharp increase in fines for traffic violations, which was proposed in the draft of the new Code of Administrative Offenses, does not meet the needs of the company and the project will be revised in this part.
