The Center Party writes on DN Debate that Sweden's focus must be on pushing back the infection and thereby reducing the number of dead. They want Sweden to test more and to make it more active.

They mean that it is not possible to determine before every sampling if the patient belongs to a socially important professional group without being able to test everyone with symptoms instead.

"If it works with extensive testing in, for example, Germany, it must be possible to do this in Sweden as well," writes Anders W Jonsson (C), who is a temporary party leader.

In connection with the increased testing, one should also work with infection detection to a greater extent, he writes.

Temporarily change the Infection Protection Act

The Center Party also wants a temporary change to the Infection Protection Act. At present, it is believed that the doctor's duty of notification hinders efficiency. Instead, the responsibility for reporting should be on the individual and that primary care should be responsible for any infection detection. But changing this order requires government decisions.

The Center Party also wants to extend the recommendation to ensure that the chain of infection is broken.

"There must be clarity for the individual about the importance of staying home and how long such isolation needs to last to prevent the spread of infection. Probably such advice should also include any family / cohabitant as well as people who have been in contact with the person who has been found infected, ”writes Anders W Jonsson.

The Minister of Social Affairs: "Good suggestions"

Finally, the Center Party proposes that the control of infection should be adapted to local conditions, as the conditions differ greatly depending on whether you are in a big city or rural area.

“We want it to be possible to apply local strategies and guidelines. In this way, we can have a more dynamic and effective fight against infection, ”writes Anders W Jonsson at DN Debatt.

SVT has asked Social Minister Lena Hallengren (S) for a comment, but she refers to her comments on Twitter:

“Several good suggestions on DN Debate. Infection tracking has resumed in regions and we all know the importance of now really getting the volumes of tests performed. Capacity and funding are in place. "
