“Korean uranium smelting facility continues to operate” US research institute May 30 6:15

An American think tank, which analyzes North Korean trends, announced that the uranium ore smelting facility, which plays an important role in North Korea's nuclear development, continues to operate.

The think tank CSIS = Strategic Institute for International Studies announced on September 29 the results of satellite image analysis of a uranium ore smelting facility located in Pyeongsan (Pyeongsan), Hwanghae (Yellow Sea) North Road, southwestern North Korea.

According to the experts involved in the analysis, the photos taken this March show that the waste emissions from the work process are continuing.

In addition, he pointed out that smoke can be seen rising from the building of the facility, and CSIS shows that the facility is still operating.

The facility produces natural uranium ore as a raw material for enriched uranium, and is believed to play an important role in North Korea's nuclear development.

For this reason, CSIS points out that the dismantling of this facility is an essential element for the denuclearization of North Korea.

Regarding North Korea, it was reported that this month a policy was announced to "further strengthen the deterrence of nuclear war" at a military conference attended by Kim Jong-un (Kim Jong Un), chairman of the Korean Labor Party. From this point on, a stricter view on the denuclearization of North Korea is spreading.
