The Ministries of Health and Community Protection and the Interior, and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, decided to amend the national sterilization program, from 10 pm to 6 am the following day, instead of eight pm to six in the morning.

The amendment is effective from today, with the exception of camel racing tracks, to be from 10 pm to 5 am.

The decision comes within the framework of facilitating the citizens and residents, and giving them a greater opportunity to spend their necessary needs, and to do the follow-up and attention required by the critical cases, in addition to helping the economic activity to recover gradually, activating the commercial movement, and not disrupting the important basic sectors of the state.

The decision affirmed that the food outlets, cooperative societies, groceries, supermarkets and pharmacies should be allowed to operate throughout the 24 hours.

The Ministries of Health and Community Protection and the Interior, and the Emergency and Crisis Authority stressed the necessity of the authorized stores to follow the applicable health and safety procedures, and adhere to the precautionary guidelines stipulated, bearing in mind that the percentage of shoppers does not exceed 30% of the total capacity, while maintaining a safe distance (with a limit Minimum of two meters) according to the principle of social separation, with the aim of reducing crowding, in compliance with health guidelines and preventive measures in the face of the emerging corona virus.

She called for adherence to the relevant procedures followed, foremost of which is not going out except to purchase food and drug needs, or for health necessity, or work for categories of vital sectors identified by the competent authorities, as previously announced, and taking into account health guidelines and advice. She emphasized preventing public gatherings, and the need to avoid family visits, to ensure the health and safety of all, and to adhere to social separation, to wear masks and gloves when leaving the house, and to ensure compliance with preventive measures and public health and safety measures.

In a related development, Dubai Police stated that the period of restriction of movement during the national sterilization program in the emirate, starts from 11 pm and continues until six in the morning of the next day, while sterilization begins in the rest of the Emirates from 10 pm, and continues until six in the morning.
