The English Premier League Football Association has announced the resumption of the competition from next June 17, while the Italian Sports Minister revealed the return of the domestic league matches starting from 20 of next month.
The English Premier League wheel will return to rotation for the first time since mid-March, and the fans will have a date with two Manchester City matches with Arsenal and Aston Villa with Sheffield United, postponed from the twenty-ninth stage, until nine games remain for all twenty teams participating in the tournament, on The competitions for the 30th stage of the competition will be held from June 19 to June 21.
Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said that the league's resumption date will continue to be linked to meeting all safety requirements under procedures to deal with the emerging Corona virus, stressing that the priority is "the health and well-being of all participants and fans."
All the remaining 92 matches without fans will have to be completed, based on the latest instructions from the British government in its plan to ease the country's closure.
The English Premier League stopped on March 13 due to the Corona pandemic, but teams returned to training in small groups last week. On Wednesday, the teams agreed to launch the second phase of the resumption efforts, which include training in larger groups with a rapprochement between the players. The next step will include full training, including docks, to prepare for the matches.
Liverpool, who are trying to win the title for the first time in 30 years, lead the standings, 25 points behind their closest pursuers.
In Italy, the Italian government allowed the resumption of the domestic football league on June 20, after a hiatus of more than three months in the midst of the emerging Corona Virus pandemic.
Italian Sports Minister Vicenzo Spadafora said the technical and scientific committee has given its approval to the protocol prepared by the Italian Football Federation.
He affirmed granting the green light for the resumption of matches starting next month and putting an end to the compulsory suspension imposed since 9 March last.
