The Buttes-Chaumont park, like the other Parisian parks and gardens, will reopen very soon. - Clément Follain

Parisian squares, gardens and parks will reopen. This was announced by the Prime Minister on Thursday at a press conference. Edouard Philippe explained that the orange vigilance of Ile-de-France, previously in red, allowed the reopening of these green spaces. However, the reopening date has not been specified, although this will probably be done from June 2.

The opening of the parks and gardens of Paris was until now the subject of a bitter battle between the mayor of the capital, Anne Hidalgo, who was in favor of it, and the government who refused it by arguing that Paris was classified as "red". Many voices, including in the majority, had however rallied to the position of the socialist councilor, in particular François Bayrou as well as several doctors.
