Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah said today that Kuwait will begin Sunday to implement a plan to return to life that will witness a gradual easing of restrictions imposed to combat the Corona virus.

This came in a press conference of the Prime Minister after the cabinet meeting.

Interior Minister Anas Al-Saleh said in the press conference that the current total curfew will be transformed into a 12-hour partial ban from six in the evening until six in the morning every day.

He said new areas would be isolated while maintaining previously isolated areas to fight the virus.

Kuwaiti Health Minister Sheikh Basil Al-Sabah said that the return to normalcy will take five stages, each of which will extend for a minimum of three weeks, until the first stage begins on May 31.

The Minister of Health confirmed that "there will be no full return to life unless there is a vaccine for the Coronavirus."

He explained that the first stage includes the return of mosques and places of worship after being equipped with health requirements, as well as industrial activities and public services such as shipping and maintenance. It also includes the return of restaurants and cafes with the purchase of cars as well as home delivery services.

These services also include companies that provide communications, internet, and mass transport for companies, institutions, and food retail stores such as cooperative societies, grocery stores, and catering.
