The general delegate of La République en Marche wishes to divest the candidate for mayor of Lyon after the announcement of the alliance between Gérard Collomb with Les Républicains for the Lyon metropolis, "a red line".

The boss of the Republic on the march Stanislas Guerini estimated Thursday that the mayor of Lyon Gérard Collomb had "crossed a red line" by allying with the Republicans for the second round of municipal and metropolitan in Lyon. "By choosing to ally with Les Républicains with the blessing (of President LR of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region) Laurent Wauquiez rather than working to bring our political family together, Gérard Collomb crosses a red line. I cannot to endorse such a political agreement ", thundered the general delegate of LREM in a press release that Europe 1 got.

"I take note of Gérard Collomb's withdrawal from the election to the metropolis and ask the National Investiture Commission to meet as quickly as possible so that the divestiture of Yann Cucherat in Lyon can be examined. I clearly state it: our values will always be more important than a few seats on a city council. We will never trade them for a mandate, "added Stanislas Guerini.

"LREM was built on overcoming cleavages"

The former Minister of the Interior announced Thursday an alliance with the right, which sees him fade behind the candidate LR François-Noël Buffet for the strategic presidency of the metropolis, center of power in Lyon. For the town hall, it is his foal Yann Cucherat who will be the candidate of the new alliance after the withdrawal of LR Étienne Blanc as head of the list.

"The En Marche Republic was built on overcoming the cleavages which have paralyzed French political life for decades (...) But this overcoming has always been established on the basis of a foundation of shared and indisputable values" , added Stanislas Guérini. Favorite of the polls to conquer the metropolis, the baron invested by LREM had suffered a great disappointment on March 15, his lists being preceded by those of Bruno Bernard (EELV), François-Noël Buffet or David Kimelfeld, his three main competitors in the 14 polling divisions.
